"The infamy of war itself, in sacrifice, gloom or glory eventually determines who await cast of bronze, posed for it's eternity" PGDSBR

"General Lee sir, I have no Division", this stark truth was General George Pickett's now famous quote referring to the staggering casualties suffered by the Division he commanded at Gettysburg. As a whole the Division forbode ominous feeling that they would die that fateful day of July 3, 1863. General Pickett himself felt as if he was sending his beloved troops on a suicide mission. It was on Pickett's signal that Confederate lines advanced with fixed bayonett.   However, it was on General Lee's orders that it was carried out. The outcome might of provided a possible peace between the warring States.

Pickett's Ghost Division Suicide Bomber Republicans.com is so named in honor of the braves souls who died that day, rebel or yankee.

Much as the life of Robert E. Lee has commanded respect before and after the Civil War, General Pickett never was to forgive the man whose name is now synomyous with everything southern.   The legacy of General Lee would survive this day, as it already glinted  bronze. Meanwhile, the foundry that was this Civil War required only his final pose.

If he could have taken back one day in his life, we are sure his eyes would have viewed the sun rise again on July 3, 1863. However, history does not grant repreive, only   encore performance should ask it's contributors.

The time has come for us to make a similar choice. While no one will die directly from choices made, indirectly thousands might. That said, we must ask ourselves a question.

Will John McCain be a present day Robert E. Lee? We question not their love of country, as McCain, having spent years of torturous abuse as a P.O.W. in Veitnam, he has more than paid his dues. Nonetheless, we at PGDSBR will not have our troops and possibly their children fight a hundred year war in the Middle East or the Persian Gulf. This is the length of time John McCain has stated it might take to accomplish the objective.

"For Country", not Irag is the question at hand.

With our hearts, and in remembrance of Pickett's Charge, sacrifice your Republican vote to save our nation, use it to vote Democrat.
